Ar-Rumaisa bt Milhan.. anda kenal?

Sudah sekian ramainya yang mengagumi Saidatina Khadijah radiallahu anha kerana pengorbanannya, mahupun Aisyah r.a. atas kecerdasannya atau Nusaybah r.a. atas keperwiraannya. Aku mengagumi kesemua mereka. Namun jiwaku lebih terusik dengan satu sosok yang lain.

Namanya
Ar-Rumaisa bt Milhan.



Juga dikenali sebagai Ummu Sulaym. Walaupun sebelum kedatangan Islam ke Madinah, Rumaisa sudah dikenali kerana perwatakannya yang baik, kebijaksanaannya, dihiasi pula dengan kecantikannya dan pemikirannya yang luas dan tersendiri. Tidak hairanlah kelebihannya ini mendorong sepupunya, Malik b Nadhir untuk menikahinya dan beliau kemudiannya melahirkan Anas bin Malik radiallahu anhu, seorang sahabat baginda Rasulullah yang terkenal.

Apabila cahaya Islam mula terbit, orang-orang yang sihat akal & lurus fitrahnya bersegera memeluk Islam. Umm Sulaym termasuk di kalangan orang-orang pertama dari kalangan Ansar yang menerima dakwah ini daripada Mus’ab bin Umair, utusan Rasulullah yang pertama untuk berdakwah ke Madinah. Umm Sulaym juga adalah salah seorang dari 3 wanita yang terlibat dalam Perjanjian Aqabah II.

Yakin

Halangan besar yang pertama buat dirinya adalah kemarahan suaminya, Malik bin Nadhir. Malik yang baru pulang dari permusafiran amat terkejut dan baran dgn keislaman Umm Sulaym. Malik berkata dengan kemarahan yang memuncak,

“Apakah engkau murtad dari agamamu?!”

Tanpa gugup Umm Sulaym menjawab, “Tidak, bahkan aku telah beriman.”

Lagi-lagi menambahkan kemarahan Malik adalah tindakan Umm Sulaym yang ketika itu juga mengajarkan anaknya, Anas untuk bersyahadah. Anas yang masih kecil itu menurut ucapan ibunya, `Ashhadualla ilahaillAllah, wa ashhaduanna Muhammadar Rasulullah.`

“Jangan engkau merosakkan dia!“ tengking Malik.

“Aku sama sekali tidak merosakkan anakku.“ tegas Umm Sulaym. Malik kemudian meninggalkannya dan diceritakan telah dibunuh oleh musuhnya tidak lama selepas itu.

Tidak mungkin seorang perempuan yang ragu-ragu, lemah dan mudah terpengaruh akan mampu untuk berdiri dengan sabar, tenang & yakin seperti Umm Sulaym di hadapan suaminya, insan yang dicintai tetapi enggan menerima seruan dakwah Islam. Keimanan yang bukan ikut-ikutan, tetapi didasari kesedaran & kefahaman.

Bonda mithali

Umm Sulaym kemudian menumpukan sepenuh tenaganya mendidik Anas. Dia bertekad untuk tidak berkahwin lagi, melainkan dipersetujui oleh Anas. Umm Sulaym menyerahkan Anas kepada Rasulullah saw untuk berkhidmat kpd baginda setiap masa. Beliau juga mengajar Anas supaya menjaga segala rahsia baginda, walaupun terhadap diri Umm Sulaym sendiri. Hasilnya, jadilah Anas bin Malik r.a seorang sahabat Rasulullah yang begitu arif dalam ilmu-ilmu islam dan sangat banyak meriwayat hadith. Apabila Anas pulang, beliau pasti menanyakan Anas apa yang dipelajarinya dari Rasulullah hari itu. Umm Sulaym…. pastilah dia bukan calang-calang ibu.
